I've had enough, I'm cheesed right-off, I'm as mad as Hell* and I'm not going to take it lying down any more. I've been taken for mug for too long - but no longer. Is that you too - feeling mugged by all and sundry by those you are supposed to trust? My political standpoint is complicated but I am just one of the many disenfranchised folks in the UK, but in essence it is simple enough - give me somebody worthy of my vote and jail those who rip me off.
I feel let down and abused by all political parties - especially the Blair/Brown axis of cosying up to the bankers, spiv financiers, Murdoch etc, the breaking of the covenant with our troops, including spending and wasting all our money in their 13 years in power. Brothers, what have you done with the money, where has it all gone? Is it really true that the last two periods in power by Labour the rich have got richer and the poor have become more poor, whilst the gap twixt the two has widened, more than at any other time in modern history? So much for them looking after the poor eh! Is their Credo really 'Keep the Poor poor as they vote for us, why - because they're poor (stupid mugs)'. Aspiration killers - certainly. Wastrels and spend-thrifts, certainly. There are none so blind as those who refuse to see - please stop voting for them. I ask you how many working class Labour candidates do you see these days? Posh boys/girls all on their front bench.
The Tories, oh dear, - the only good job they are doing is that of cutting their own throat. They have scored more own goals than Jamie Carragher has scored 'for' Spurs than against Liverpool. Dearie me, how could they not win the last election by a landslide - by being useless and incompetent that's how, whatever else could it be? There is nothing joined up about their policies or actions, or is just the FibDems holding them back from implementing their polices in full and so making them look as stupid as they really are - just asking? Pension reform - two tiers of pensioners is hardly fair - the right idea, but badly implemented Child Credit, what an unfair shambles - can any reader think of a more stupid or unfair system- the right idea, but badly implemented. Bedroom tax - just plain awful, so much for the family eh? they have yet to show a vision for the future other than arbitrary cut after arbitrary cut - cuts for the sake of cuts as there is no plan B. Earn £79Kpa as a family and your so poor that you still need child benefit, but have a small (say about £5K pa) private pension over and above a State Pension and suddenly your so rich that you can no longer have winter fuel payments or a bus pass in old age when you need them most. No joined up thinking there then! Let the poor stay poor, make the middle class poorer seems to be their new found creed. I expect better.
As for the dirty FibDems - well don't ask, OK go ahead! what a bunch of opportunist, self-interested fibbing liars they have turned out to be. I had high hopes for them but they face both directions as they speak - The Janus Party. Mr Slippery watch your back - they'll smile in your face whilst they stab you in the back. does anyone really believe that Cable/Hughes are not in continual discussions with Balls/Milliband about a coalition after the next election? They would rather go back on their word over the long needed constituency reform because they felt slighted. That's right FibDems, you don't do what is best for the country, but put yourselves first and excuse yourselves on the flimsiest of excuses about irrelevant House of Lords reforms - pathetic. Should the FibDems take the 'Dems' bit out of their name?
Take the wrapping of Milliband/Balls and what do you find among the hot fetid air - nothing? That's right nothing different to Blair/Brown axis from before and they offer solutions to nothing. The country is in a financial mess but all we get is nothing but empty words - 'We wouldn't cut that, or that or that or that or that, but we will borrow to spend, spend spend and borrow again , just to give give give.' Dear Messrs Milliband/Balls, I and thousands of other low income persons, have nothing left to give - you both took it all while in 13 yrs in power and have left us nothing left except a reported £78K debt each thank you very much indeed. We get shouted at and looked down on with contempt for speaking this truth,so much so, that we lose our dignity and self respect for daring to do so (Who is that bigoted woman, flat earthers, Immigration - you must be a racist, homophobic etc). If you want contempt then I have it in spades for you and your cronies.
The Gentlemen Bankers and financiers of the City laud their motto of “Dictum Meum Pactum” 'My Word is My Bond'......Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Sorry boys, it's time to change it to something more apt such as 'SpivsRUs' isn't that a lot more accurate, a more comfortable fit? Mis-selling of Endowments, PPI, Credit Insurance Swaps (or whatever they are called this week) is basically just theft, legalised or otherwise. Why haven't the Police investigated? Can we 'Bank' on them to do the right thing any more - No! Can they be trusted by us ordinary folk - No! Where's all the money gone? that is a question I have been asking for sometime - no one answers me, I'm just ignored or looked at blankly - perhaps they don't know and so can't answer me? Now we have LIBOR, and the soon to be debacle on Bank Charges.
The FSA is an anagram for Chocolate Fireguard don't you know. Do they even know the difference between right and wrong (and that includes the Police) Why no investigations, why no arrests, why does no one take responsibility for their actions any more? Who is at fault? We, Joe Public deserve to know, we need to know. Police, Press, Political corruption surround us, they are smothering us into a stupor and then oblivion. What do we get in way of an answer - we get Leveson - who promptly gets ignored, and 6 middle-rank bankers get lifted by the police over Libor - elsewise - Nada. Not good enough.
Stephen Hester at RBS is to be given a bonus this year because his last 3 bonuses have been clawed-back and that is more than enough for one person to bear apparently. Do you know what claw-back is in banking/financial terms? If something is paid out that shouldn't have been paid out, erroneously or not, then the Bank/financial institution will claw it back over time. The Bankers believe that they deserve their bonuses as a right, as part of their remuneration for doing their job, so by not being paid their bonus they believe that claws-back the debt the Bank owes to the public/taxpayer for their bailout or downright wrong doing. So everything is OK then - Pah! These guys are all too ready and willing to be paid big-bucks for all the responsibility placed on their shoulders, but when the crunch comes, it is slopey shoulders time and shouts of 'Not me guv!' ring out throughout the land. (Not just Bankers btw).
Even our vaunted NHS in the shape of the Stafford Hospital affair is not immune from scandal. Despite the thousands of deaths and poor care (yes by the nursing staff) which inflicted suffering on those prior to death and the countless thousands who survived the Stafford Death Camp, no one is responsible - no one is to blame, Nor has anyone stood tall and taken either full or partial responsibility. Apparently the chap in charge of the NHS Trust at the time has been promoted to be in charge of the NHS as a whole - nice job if you can get it! You couldn't make it up could you? Hollywood would chuck it out.
And now our Beef isn't beef.. It's not Daisy it's 'Dobbin' Were paying for Aberdeen Angus but getting Clydesdale Carthorse. Somebody is making an extortionate profit out of me and you dear reader, we are being defrauded. Except Mr Slippery says it is a matter of labeling - God give me strength, and he's our leader (has anyone seen that ex-Police horse he borrowed of Ms Brookes lately). Mind you he wasn't a leader in the House on the Gay Marriage debate & vote - he hid away in No 10 as more than half his party defied him. That's not leadership, that's cowardice. Little green men from Mars, please take him away (and Milliband, and Clegg and Farage, and Salmond and.......).
MP's had a chance to partly reform the House of commons, and thanks to the self-interest of the FibDems, they failed to do so. The turkeys of the Labour Party wouldn't have voted for Christmas anyway, not even for the greater good or in the interests of democracy Now those same MP's want a massive pay rise in the region of £20K to £30K if I remember correctly, and reports have started to appear in the press that they are up to no good with their expenses again - I ask you!
Is it any wonder that I am disenfranchised? Is it any wonder that in recent elections I have deliberately corrupted my Ballot Paper by putting a large X ove rall the candidates names and writing 'None of the above candidates are worthy of my vote' - well they're not are they - and I'm in Mr slippery's constituency? Are your candidates worthy of your vote - if not vote and tell them.
But let them all be aware - I'm watching closely, and when the cabal of idiots in power over us are more idiotic than normal, or the City Spivs turn us over again and again, or public figures in positions of trust cock-up and still get their unearned Knighthoods, their actions won't go un-noticed - I'll be reporting here on this blog to expose the lies and deceits around the world. There is no hiding place - beware.
I'm as mad as Hell, and I'm not taking it any more. I want answers. I want solutions. I want people to take responsibility for their own actions. I want the guilty jailed. I want fairness.
Don't take it lying down any more my friends.
